God’s Love & Divine Mercy

When God create man from the beginning, He showed through the Creation how much He Loves us. Throughout the ages, because His Love for us, when men sinned and was led astray, He forgave time after time and led us back ‘home’. Yet most men did not look at Him as a loving Father, but as a cold Judge, or as Jesus said ‘a dead God’, some people don’t believe He even exist… One evening, St Faustina saw the Lord Jesus upon the cross. From His hands, feet, and side the Most Sacred Blood was flowing. Jesus said to her: “All this is for the salvation of souls.” (Diary,1184) On other occasions, Jesus said to the saint: “From all My wounds, like from streams, mercy flows for souls, but the wound in My Heart is the fountain of unfathomable mercy. From this fountain spring all graces for souls. The flames of compassion burn Me. I desire greatly to pour them out upon souls.” (1190) “…especially for poor sinners. If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My Heart as from a fount overflowing with mercy. For them I dwell in the tabernacle as King of Mercy. I desire to bestow My graces upon souls, but they do not want to accept them... Oh, how indifferent are souls to so much goodness, to so many proofs of love! My Heart drinks only of the ingratitude and forgetfulness of souls living in the world. They have time for everything, but they have no time to come to Me for graces.” (367) “Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My mercy. Oh, how much I am hurt by a soul’s distrust! Such a soul professes that I am Holy and Just, but does not believe that I am Mercy and does not trust in My Goodness.” (300) “Before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy.” (83) “If they will not adore My mercy, they will perish for all eternity. (965) and “The loss of each soul plunges Me into mortal sadness.” (1397) But Jesus promised St Faustina that: “With souls that have recourse to My mercy and with those that glorify and proclaim My great mercy to others, I will deal according to My infinite mercy at the hour of their death.” (379) “At that last hour…Happy is the soul that during its lifetime immersed itself in the Fountain of Mercy, because justice will have no hold on it.
